Brailes Footpath Group: Autumn 2024 update
Autumn 2024 Brailes Footpath Group Working Party Activities
The BFG aims to run a Working Party once a month on the 3rd Saturday.
A massive thanks to the team for their hard work this Autumn. We completed some planned kissing gate installations and some much needed general repair and maintenance works on marker posts and stile/bridge treads.
Two metal kissing gates were installed on SS54a near Winderton to complement one installed earlier in the year and new fence lines put in place by the landowner.
Two marker posts were re-installed next to the gate on path SS58b at the bottom of the steps up from the end of Gillett’s Lane and on SS52 by the gate on to Saltway Lane.
Mesh on stiles was installed on the SS52 stile up from the 99 steps.
Also on SS61c (at the back of Henbrook Lane on the path up to the Bridleway SS61) and on the first stile towards the Golf Club from the end of Cow Lane, on SS71.
Mesh was also installed on the footbridge on SS44 out from Glebe Farm
