THREE HILLS WALK 2026: Monday 4th May, 9am @ the Pavilion
The Brailes Three Hills Walk is a hugely popular annual event in the village calendar. The walking route links the three hills that surround the village: Castle Hill, Brailes Hill, and Mine Hill. The walk is truly special for many reasons—the breathtaking views, the stunning countryside scenery, bumping into neighbours and friends—but also because Brailes Hill doesn’t have public access across the top except for this one special day. It’s a real privilege to see the village from a different vantage point, and it has become a firm local fixture in the Brailes diary.
The walk is usually held in May, but with increasingly unpredictable weather it occasionally has to be nudged until later in the year. The Facebook page Brailes 3 Hills Walk is recommended for the most up-to-date information on the weather and event updates!
The walk starts and finishes at the Brailes Village Hall. It’s an all services required event, and we’re delighted we have the space to support ticket sales, parking, route guidance and information centre, refreshments, and first aid.
Start time is between 9am and 11am. You can pay on the day by cash or card. It’s a well-marked walking route with lots of helpful signs and stewards at key points.

The walk is open to adults, children, and of course well-behaved dogs! The 2025 walk had 690 adult walkers, 140 children, and an impressive 190 dogs taking part.
And if the walk wasn’t its own incentive, there is a BBQ, bar, ice cream van, tea and coffee, and cake at the finish! Plenty of straw bales are provided to rest aching feet over a superb burger from our local, award-winning Paddock Farm butchers.
This is a NOT TO BE MISSED Brailes event for your diary. It’s run entirely by volunteers to raise money for Friends of Brailes School and Brailes Pavilion. Volunteers are always needed and made very welcome. For information on volunteering or queries in general, contact.
