Rules of Conduct

IF YOU WOULDN'T SAY IT TO THEIR FACE, DON'T TYPE IT TO THEIR FACE

Treating each other with respect is how we ensure we are treated with respect in return, and it's the only way we can maintain this forum as a useful platform for discussion. The use of offensive, discriminatory, and inappropriate language, or the posting of libellous content breaches the Rules Of Conduct.

Generally, in online discussion forums everyone expects:

  1. to engage in discussions in good faith and be able to receive constructive or critical feedback, also delivered in good faith.
  2. to focus on idea(s), not people or personality.
  3. the discussion to remain on topic: user contributions are relevant to the discussion at hand.
  4. not to have their personal information shared on the forum.
  5. not to receive threats or be the subject of insinuation.
  6. not to be stalked or obsessively replied to.
  • No disrespectful & abusive language.
  • No libellous allegations.
  • No sharing age-restricted content.
  • No spamming.
  • No sharing materials that belong to someone else, unless you have their permission.

If you encounter or observe inappropriate behaviour or comments, please report this to the website administrator on in**@***************co.uk in the first instance.

The forum administrators reserve the right to remove any content, at any time that we feel contravenes the Rules of Conduct, without right to appeal. We look forward to never having to do that.

Side Note: facebook has up to now been a useful site for communication between villagers. The information posted there though can be used by Facebook and Meta as content to profit from, and it's of course possible Facebook could be restricted, or even not available, in the future. The Brailes Village website, in contrast, is owned and run in the village, and the information on this site is not used for any other purpose, or user information shared with Third Parties. The Forum is anonymous so that we do not collect any user information at all if possible.
