We write this report on the eve of “Freedom Day” as it seems to have been called and as the weekend temperatures hit 31C. So it seems that although we will be able to go “out out” the hot weather will keep us “in in”! Whatever your thoughts on the relaxation of the guidelines, we think it will be individual choice how everyone proceeds over the next few months.
For the Hall’s point of view we are able to open for lots of events and parties but we will continue with our rigorous cleaning routines and advise all hirers to use hand sanitiser and ask hirers to make sure all their guests are comfortable with the arrangements. We are starting to get more bookings for events for September onwards when I think folks will perhaps start to feel a bit more comfortable. We continue to take our guidance from: https://www.wrccrural.org.uk/reopeningvillagehalls/and will keep you updated with any changes.
We continue to have a few issues with the local community using the field to walk their dogs not on leads and not clearing up after them. There are bins provided on the field, please use them so everyone else can enjoy the field. If you feel the need to walk your dog on the field please enter the field from the top gate on Castle Hill Lane and use the top part of the field. If there are Caravans at the top, please be respectful and avoid this area temporarily, it is only for a short period and their use of the field brings in much needed revenue for the Village Hall, Pavilion and Play Area. We will post a copy of some of the field events on the website and facebook page or if you would like a copy, please give Lisa a ring on 07800 771368. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact Lisa and NOT the field users direct. Thank you.
In aid of the Play Area Fund Raising please don’t forget to use your membership card when you shop at Co-op so that the Play area benefits, we will be very grateful. Before you shop and to make sure Brailes gets your support log on to https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/52509 and select Brailes Play Area as the cause to benefit. It won’t cost you anything just a moment to log on. If you would like to help with any aspect of the fund-raising please do get in touch email email@example.com Thank you.
There is a Brailes Restart 2021 event in the Village Hall on Saturday 11th September from midday until 3.30pm when it is hoped that everyone will come along and see what’s on offer in our community as clubs, societies and groups gather together to show their wares. There will be a Paddock farm Pop up, Bar, Teas and Cakes. Everyone is welcome.
